Sydney are not taking the name of the controversy in the Test match. Every day some new controversy comes to the fore. On the third and fourth day of the game, where racist remarks were seen against Indian players, on the last day, Australia’s legendary batsman Steve Smith was found to be doing something which makes him suspicious.
Steve Smith was seen tampering with the pitch on the fifth day of the Sydney Test. Actually, Rishabh Pant and Cheteshwar Pujara batted tremendously for the Indian team while chasing a huge target. The two batsmen together created history and made India’s biggest partnership for the fourth wicket in the fourth innings of Test cricket.
Rishabh Pant appeared in a very aggressive mood and he hit fours and sixes against the Australian bowlers. He, along with Pujara, turned the match’s approach towards the Indian team. Australia bowlers were unable to break these partnership despite millions of attempts, in such a situation, Steve Smith’s action was captured on camera.
Actually Steve Smith was seen wiping out Rishabh Pant’s batting guard. During the drinks break in the first session, the stump camera caught Australian players erasing the batsman’s mark on the pitch. After these videos surfaced, questions are being raised on Australia.
Let me tell you that this is not the first time Steve Smith has tried cheating in the field. Earlier in 2018, Steve Smith was banned for one year on charges of ball tampering and was stripped of his captaincy. At the same time, during his tour to India, he had sought help from the dressing room to get a review, which became very famous under the name “Brain Fed Moment”.
