Indian Messaging App Hike has been shut down

Everyone knows of Hike Messenger as a preferred instantaneous messaging platform in India that included all kinds of enjoyable Indian stickers, chat backgrounds, and more. The much-loved Hike has been officially shut down now.

As per the reports, the shutdown of its operations was not too long ago introduced by the company’s chief govt officer Kavin Bharti Mittal. The app has also been removed from Google Playstore and Apple’s App Store. Mittal tweeted “today we’re asserting that we are going to be sunsetting StickerChat in Jan’21. We thank you all for giving us your belief. We wouldn’t be right here without you Red heart. All of your information shall be out there to obtain within the app. Your HikeMoji will proceed to be out there in each Vibe & Rush!”.

Mittal hasn’t currently said as to why he has determined to close down Hike Messenger. Nevertheless, he tweeted last week as to why India can’t have its personal messenger.

Hike Messenger was an Indian rival to different instantaneous messaging apps like WhatsApp, Sign, Telegram, and Fb Messenger. Sign and Telegram have been gaining large traction in India following the newest WhatsApp privacy policy row. Indian authorities have additionally requested WhatsApp to withdraw its newest controversial privacy policy update from the nation and “respect the informational privacy and information safety of Indian customers”.
